MY BABY TURNED 5 YESTERDAy

Hello All,

5 yrs ago yesterday my deepest and most wanted dream came true. My beautiful precious princess was placed in my arms by her birthmom while i cried my eyes out with my heart just about bursting with happiness and joy at finally being a mommy.

She is now 5 yrs old. I had the fortune of watching my baby turn from this helpless tiny little person into a beautiful, tall, funny, full of personality, loves to make ppl laugh, great at everything she tries her hand at, brilliant, polite, wonderful, sweet, loving 5 yr old. Sometimes I look at her and feel so much love for her that it takes my breath away. how can any human being love another little human being so much...?

Even though we knew that a child through adoption was our own and all that, before I met Savi 5 yrs ago, I was scared about bonding and all that stuff... I now feel stupider than stupid for having been scared. From the first moment I saw my little baby girl, I knew I couldn't love her more if she was my biological baby. Heck I will jump in front of a moving train in a heartbeat to save her from pain/harm. Sometimes I feel like Ilove my baby so much that it scares me. I will kill for her and will happily lay my life down for her. She has made each and every single one of our dreams come true and is a true princess in every nature.

I thank god for her and also for putting us in touch with her birthmom who gave us our little miracle. We cannot imagine our lives without our baby girl. Today we took her to boomers, a family fun center (arcade, rides and what not) and seeing the excitement on her face and how happy she was just made me realize that there is nothing more important that family and having a beautiful little child to love.

Today my life is content and I'm happier than I could ever say... Thank you my precious princess and my wonderful, caring, sweet, romantic husband for making me the happiest in the world.

Thanks for listening.

luv
las n savi

Hi las,

I am rather new here and we haven't "met"before, but I have been reading your posts for awhile. I just had to respond to this one-it brought tears to my eyes! I can relate to everything you said, my sweet daughter just had a birthday this month too, she is now 6. I had been lurking on these boards for awhile, and I knew it was time to jump in when I saw a post that said something like "I love my child so much it is freakish." I just thought "these are my people!" I also have a ds who is 4, and some days I am just overwhelmed how blessed we are by our children and their bfamilies. I think that is one thing we all share as afamilies-such strong love and gratefulness for the gift of our children.

Your dd is absolutley gorgeous and sounds like such a doll. I am so happy that you are all back home safe and sound and she is well, you were all in my prayers and it is so nice to see your sweet happy post! Sounds like you all enjoyed her special day very much!
