1/Any plans for the weekend? Yoga tomorrow morning, then riding the bike to the lake to meet up with Vini and 4 friends for a whole day of boating. Cole is going to Fairmont with friends for the weekend.

2/Have you acquired anything recently that you just love? Not uber-recent, but the boat is new this summer (new to us) and we adore the extra length, storage, power and room for friends!

3/What are your kids doing this summer? Cole took a general online class to get it out of the way. Now he is chillin' His band wrote a song about Underwater World at the Mall of America; they have a professional videographer and permission from the Park to record a music video onsite later this summer. He is going on a road trip to Arkansas with his dad the second week of August.

Max of course tried for and won the paid internship at the University of Washington and is busily playing with DNA. He is planning to transfer there winter quarter. We are going to spend Thanksgiving with him, yay!

4/How is YOUR weather? Probably a lot like yours! We have been in the 90s for weeks, with a few 100s thrown in for good measure.

5/What is your favorite ice cream flavor or cooling summer treat for those weirdos (like NL ;~)) that don't like sweets? Aw, thanks for the chance to give my very own special answer! I would have to say blueberries, or sliced mango. YUM.

Just a bike ride with Wil in the morning.
2/Have you acquired anything recently that you just love? I have been accumulating pottery from my thrift store rounds (the past few months) and I really do love how the collection is coming along.
3/What are your kids doing this summer? They are at gramma's in Idaho. They'll be back in a week or two. I go to Cairo's on the 4th and they will have a few days alone with dad.
4/How is YOUR weather? Hot and mo hot!
5/What is your favorite ice cream flavor or cooling summer treat for those weirdos (like NL ;~)) that don't like sweets? Lately I've been eating TCBY vanilla bean frozen yogurt with berries on top!

Cole close to 100% now?

Yes, close. The throat is much better (he can drink ginger ale again, it is his favorite go-to "sick remedy" but it burned his throat badly during the worst of it). He still has one sore on the bottom of his tongue that is driving him mad. Kid is so skinny that a week of not being able to eat much due to pain is the last thing he needs. And he's HUNGRY!!

1/Any plans for the weekend?
I am having a planning-for-camping dinner for 25 people tonight at my house (just found out last night, so it will be a very easy dinner). The girls have 2 separate swim meets tomorrow. We have to leave the house tomorrow at 6:20am. Ugh. Then we have a birthday swim party tomorrow evening. Sunday, we are meeting up with Marie for more swimming (girls can't wait to see Marielle and Rico), then I have a date with my recliner late Sunday afternoon. I am beat.

2/Have you acquired anything recently that you just love?
I haven't bought anything lately.

3/What are your kids doing this summer?
Did I mention swimming? They are on a swim team and they swim just about every day. They started one of their soccer team, so they have been practicing. They spend their day with my parents when I am at work, which is great. They have VBS next week, then we are camping afterwards. They can't wait to wakeboard. We have another trip planned for Lake Tahoe, to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday.

4/How is YOUR weather?
It has been on the cooler side lately, in the high 60's and mid-70's. But it is climbing now and we are going to get mid 90's for the next several days.

5/What is your favorite ice cream flavor or cooling summer treat for those weirdos (like NL ;~)) that don't like sweets?
Coffee flavor or chocolate with peanut butter. I love frozen yogurt best, but I do also like ice cream.

1/Any plans for the weekend? Dh is going for a 106 mile bike ride tomorrow morning, yard work, probably take the dog to the dog park, dh has been gone all week so it will be good just to spend some time together. Ds is going into the city with friends to food cart

1/Any plans for the weekend?
I've been off yest and today, yest went to Science City w two dd's and then we all went out to dinner. Today the girls and I met up with another mom and her 2 dd's at a waterpark and had a blast. We are all sunburned though, even though we did sunsccreen. Dh stayed home and seems grouchy. (He hates swimming and hates the heat, though it didn't seem that bad most of the day). Tomorrow nothing much planned yet, Sunday, probably summer outing w H (individual activty w each dd).

2/Have you acquired anything recently that you just love?
Not really--I hate flip flops so finally got some "slips" (thats what my kids call them) and like them much better. \

3/What are your kids doing this summer?
Twins did a Basketball camp. R did a day camp thing where they wrote and illustrated a story last week. Twins have been going to open gym volleyball once a week last several weeks. VBS for R next week. Twins soccer starts the following week. We also have coming up physicals for all 3, orthodontist for twins and eye doctor for H.School registration is 8/1 and school starts 8/15.

4/How is YOUR weather
VERY HOT, VERY DRY. More 100's than I can remember, and we aren't done yet.

5/What is your favorite ice cream flavor or cooling summer treat for those weirdos (like NL ;~)) that don't like sweets? I like vanilla yogurt w Heath bar pieces best. We've also been making rasberry lemonade which is yummy.

1/Any plans for the weekend? Probably lots of laundry as Brad and Kelly are due home from camp tomorrow. Also plan on hugging the heck out of Kelly.
2/Have you acquired anything recently that you just love? I absolutely love my newly repair ice maker..that's kind of cheating I guess. So other than that I love my Dyson.
3/What are your kids doing this summer? Kel has been hanging with me and going to SplashTown and having sleepovers with his BFF and also involved with Boy Scouts and still doing guitar lessons. In August we are planning to take him to HI for the first time.

Well, I have a few...I love pineapple/mango/cherry popsicles, Basking Robbins Peanut Butter and Chocolate ice cream and OrangeLeaf pineapple, raspberry and orange frozen yogurt. Did I mention it gets REALLY hot here? Hehe
