NL - What does the fence in yard mean?
In the Friday questions, the yards with fences vs no fences has made me wonder of the meaning. Boundaries versus no boundaries... What's your take?

Yup, boundaries. I used to have none, and still tend more than way than not. It is my natural state, I guess. But I had to learn first what they were, why they might come in handy at times, and then figure out how firm/strong they should be, for me.
My personal take is, since boundaries keep out bad, unwelcome, manipulative and other negative energies, a cautious person (or someone who used to have none and was hurt) may tend towards really strong, tall, thick ones. The trouble with that is, boundaries that strong also keep out a whole lotta good things, intentions, energy and experiences. The younger or less mature we are spiritually, however, having no boundaries can be really dangerous. So like most things health is somewhere in the middle.

I'm the opposite IRL, always having boundaries. Yet my wish is for no boundaries. Freedom, being carefree. I can't imagine fences in my imaginary yard. Interesting...

Fence to me means containing your space. Since the fences here are all skewy and either on property line, over the line, or in your space it really doesn't mean much. Just keeps the kids safe and the dogs in.
