where do you all clothes shop?

I saw this question over at GP for 20 somethings...so I thought I would ask over here as I'm not a 20 something.

I am really long...and it seems like so many tops I buy the sleeves are too short or they are too short in the torso...and NO one wants to see this belly. Pants are hard to find too as even if I lost the 20 I need to low rise does not work on my body.

I think someone here mentioned Lands End and especially for pants I have better luck. I also like JCpenneys jeans.

Sometimes I luck out at Goodwill or a consignment shop but it takes a LOT of trying on. I used to shop on ebay for my clothes but that's too much of a risk unless it's a brand I know.

    Where do you all shop?

L.L. Bean, Lands' End, Talbots, sometimes Target. That's about it. Every now and then I'll see something I really like somewhere else, but mostly I just stick with those.

I really like Lands' End quality, but I don't buy pants from there because, with pants, I have a hard time buying them if I can't try them on first. I usually buy pants (and other stuff) from Gap, Old Navy, or Ann Taylor.

With that said, I rarely buy clothes for myself.

clothes shopping? Can't stand it! I go to Bealls Outlet here in Florida at the last minute if I need something. I usually find tops I like at the regular Bealls. Other than that...I'm a perfect person to elect to "What Not to Wear" as I'm stuck in poor fitting jeans and T's that are usually won(advertisements) or given to me!

    good luck!

Banana Republic, their sales rack always have good deals, and they have a lot of pants with 'turn ups' or 'cuffs' on the bottom. Given that I have a 37" inseam I buy them (in tall sizes), let the cuffs out and have pants that are long enough for me...! I find their tops have good length too.

I like Old Navy... and Torrid... Target for <believe it or not> bathing suits <they have great bathing suits> and weekend stuff... VS catalog... IF I have the time, I will sometimes venture into Marshall's, TJ Max or Burlington Coat Factory, but that's only sans Leah and if I really have the time...

I like Avenue but I have ahard time finding what I want because it seems like my size go quickly. I also like shopping for the smallest size they have and they do have tall pants.

Eddid Bauer talls are great and I have actually gotten things that the sleeves were too long--that is rare. ETA: I buy my jackets from them.

I've bought some stuff at Kohls or JCPenny but it seems that their shirts are not long enough for me.

I need to get myself some new clothes!

DS is just as challenging to shop for.....

    I love LL Bean.

I have a new goal - to pare down my wardrobe to the "10 must haves" and then barn clothes and scrubs.

I recently figured out that having a nice wardrobe is a hobby - and it's not one of mine so it's the KISS strategy from hear on out. LOL

Since I'm losing weight, I don't want to spend a lot on clothes until I get to my goal weight. I've been buying mostly sale and clearance items. I don't like Gabriel Brothers, but I did get a few great deals there recently. My favorite place now is Coldwater Creek online. They have some really good sales and their quality is nice. I really like shopping online, but maybe once I'm thinner I'll enjoy real live shopping again. Given my decreasing size and my increasing age, I really have no idea what's in style or even what my own personal style is anymore, but I'm trying to figure it out.
