My facial and body skin has gone to H_LL in the last 3 years since turning 40 and becoming a parent. The birth of my twins 10 months ago has only made thing worse. 3 kids that are not good sleepers has caused me to forgo the needed 8 hours of sleep per night.
I feel like my skin is so DRY and tired all the time. My face just looks tired and my arms/hand just look old. I have tried things like Eucerin/Nivea etc and normal face creams like Clinque ect. I need a miracle.
Any suggestions for a great face cream? Body cream?

I don't know how to drop in the link to the post, but cindyjumper asked about this a few posts down.
I use Cetaphil for body lotion. No scent and it works nicely. Costs about $12/bottle in drug stores. I have very, very dry skin. I also endorse cindy crawford's online offer - see other post. Costs about $30/month. It is starting to make a nice difference in my skin after 3 weeks. I also just noticed the ads at the top of the ft screen and checked them. Some cremes are pretty pricey.
Edit to add one more tip. Buy a sport bottle and carry water with you everywhere, car, stores, even your bedside table. Being well hydrated is a big help when you are really busy all the time. It's hard to stop and make sure you get something to drink.Last edited by SuzCa; 02-28-2006 at 11:48 AM.

This is what I use on my skin:
http://www.dhccare.com/DHC/ProductDe...alog=DHC%20USA
The main ingredients are olive oil. Very soothing for the skin and keeps dry skin at bay. I also use the royal jelly and retin-a.
I did get a great compliment when the home nurse was out about 2 weeks ago. She was talking about how she was an older mom (her son is 11) and I asked how old she was when her son was born. She said 44 and I said that I was 45 when I became a first time mom to Marielle. She said that she wouldn't have guessed me over my mid 30's right now. I thought it was a super compliment, since I thought I looked like crap, Marielle having just gotten out of the hospital after 3 weeks.Marie L, Mama to Marielle, 9 and Rico, 8

May be a silly question, but do you drink enough water?
I've noticed way more wrinkles in this past year too - I also have a bad sleeper, and have not had a night with 8 hours of sleep since before he was born.
Right now, I'm using Neutrogena Advanced something or other for face and eye creams. I've tried Clinique, Estee Lauder, Caudalie, and Oil of Olay, and this Neutrogena stuff seems to work best at making my skin not so dry.

Hi:
If your skin is really dry and tired looking, I'd recommend the Neutrogena Micro-dermabarsion system. You use it 3 times a week and it exfoliates away the upper layer of dried, dead skin and leaves nice toned looking skin underneath.Joey
