When I Say Us

Do you know all of the things I've felt?

Do you know all the different cards I've been dealt?

so many times I have sat here and cried

all of the different questions, the biggest one WHY

is it so wrong of me to want more?

even after all of the gifts I've gotten before

I have a cat, a car, a truck, and a house

but all of those things I could do without

I would give it all away don't you see?

if only I could give back what's been dealt to me

specifically the one titled infertility

But no matter how I beg and plead, cry or cuss

it will always just be me and him when I say us
