    Hi ladies,
Anyone have any info on using these supplements to prevent miscarriage and increase egg quality? Thanks in advance

the initial research on DHEA was out of ISRAEl i believe, if you google it, you will find some results... Coq10, i haven't read alot about, but alot of women are taking it, not sure if being told by their doctors, or just one of those wild fire effects.

More and more RE's are getting on the DHEA bandwagon, especially in AMA, DOR/POF, poor responders etc.... the research says that it increases pregnancy rates, "spontaneous" and decreases m/c. I am a believer in it.

I called my RE, he said he was ok with coQ10 but not enough research on DHEA. I am sure a lot of people with disagree with that. I know before pregnancy its good but than when do you stop?

I follow a post of women at a top clinic and conclude: CoQ10 - common, even for DHs - few regrets (none?). DHEA - not common, can mess a good thing up - regrets just as much or more than grateful - careful with that one.

I am taking Coenzyme Q10 as from what I read it can't hurt - people even take it for heart health and general health without even conceiving.. good for older people in general.
I think I agree with a few others who posted about DHEA in that it can work for some people but can be a bit dangerous ie mess up a good thing for others and have opposite effect.

I have insulin resistance PCOS so already have free testosterone problems which cause hairloss, extra body hair.. etc so DHEA can increase testosterone so I would not take it with hormones how they are. I think it works for some though.
I think CQ10 safer but the studies were on mice who took it for 20 years.....(or the equivalent in mice years lol) so not sure just taking it for a few weeks or months or even just a few years - whether it would do any good? HOpe so.
    Good luck

Well at 36, with low AMH level, very poor responder, max dose stims only 3-4 mature eggs, and severe male factor infertility, my Re at a very good clinic, said go for it and try DHEA before my next ivf /egg retrieval.......... Long story short natural pregnancy mentioned I took it for about 45 days, checked for ovulation using digital, DTD 1 time, tracking because was planning an epp protocol...... Af late..... Beta 2400... Currently 35 weeks... My dh and I have been together 14 years.... Lots of trying...., never worked... Took some DHEA and BAM.... Who knows

    I take 150mg of Co-enzymeQ10.

Jenga - that is really great. So excited for you. Only 5 weeks to go. Are you ready yet for baby to come?

I am torn between taking it. I have heard very good things about DHEA from you and others.. but i have heard a few bad ones (perhaps onces with PCOS).

I am a bit reticent because of my PCOS and having more free testosterone in my system already, it might make it worse. I already spend too money at the waxing place LOL.

However (as you know from other thread) I like you have low AMH result so maybe worth a try because I 'm 38.

This is cycle is only my 2nd cycle trying, currently CD4 and realistically its probably my first as the first period I had before this one was very very light (had a D & C in June) so I don't think it was a real one even, TMI but was very light and strange, had a clot and never get those.

Now worried about Ashermans with the D & C as this period was more normal but still light . Have they scaped away too much. Scarred the uterus. Who knows!!
Day 4 now and almost done... or am I just a worry wart?

Sorry I was just going to answer the question but I am raving on ..

    Have a great day.
