Hello all! New to these forums and trying to get input and hopefully some encouragement! About me: 41 DH: 34 TTC for 1 year (well, in April it will be a year on our 1 year anniversary!). We did 2 IUIs: 1st one not at ART, and did trigger too soon according to my RE. 2nd one: 6 follicles, E2 1333, Pro 4...all was perfect. Developed OHSS 4 days later. Friday got the BFN. We knew we would do IVF next if neg. Baseline today 8 possible follicles on rt and 4 on left. Only 2 cysts left, so BC tonight and start our plan with RE next Thursday. I hope to hear others over 40 experiences and results. Thank you in advance for any input!

Hello, MCJ!!
This is a quick note because it is so late, but I just wanted to say good luck with this cycle!! I actually started Lupron yesterday, and hope to transfer embryos around the end of April. As you can see from my signature, my history is quite extensive, spanning 15+ years. We are currently using donor eggs.
I really hope this cycle works for you! Keep me updated!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya'll! We had to stop this cycle because my RE wanted to do SIS to see how tubes, etc looked. i can't do any type of dye due to an anaphylactic reaction to the non IVP dye I had. SO they took me of BC and I had another cycle immediately (not fun having 2 cycles within 11 days!) I have the SIS tomorrow and we meet with RE on Thursday to review and start our new plan. Alot goes into this, but I hope it will be worth it. We will try several IVF before we decide our next move it none are successful. I hope this cycle will be the magic one for both of us! Thank you for your reply and keep me posted! It certainly is so helpful to talk with someone going through this experience.

Any news? I'm going to my IVF Rn on the 15th to set our stim schedule and retrieval date. On BC now and am getting geared up and trying to stay positive.
Let me know where you are with your cycle and take care!

Pregnancy mentioned
Hi MCJ I wish you good luck on your IVF journey! I am 41 and have had 4 IUIs and 4 IVFs. Unfortunately none of them were successful. I know how stressful each cycle is and hope the first try works for you! I have unexplained infertility and on the last IVF I had 6 eggs retrieved (6 right , 2 were on left but RE couldn't get because a blood vessel was blocking the ovary), 4 perfect transferred on day 3. When it didn't work I was devastated and talked to my RE about whether I should stop trying with my own eggs and possibly move to donor eggs. He felt I should try one more time with my own eggs and if it didn't work to make a decision on next steps. I took a two month break and during that time I started taking 1200mg of CoQ10 based on my RE recommendation (600am/600pm) and now am 6weeks 2days pregnant on my own! I was schocked to say the least. As a matter of fact, I was feeling cramping swearing AF was on the way and was about to order my IVF meds for my last try. I took a hpt and turns and it was positive! I just went for an US this morning and there was a fetal heart rate of 113, so things are looking positive. I just wanted to tell you this because I was so devastated when my IVF didn't work and was constantly searching boards for positive experiences. Don't ever give up hope! Sending postive thoughts, angel dust, sticky vibes and everything else under the sun your way!! Good luck.

ttc711: Thank you so much for your story! I've been on the same coQ10 regimen as you for two months now. I'm on CD6 of IVF schedule and had an u/s today. E2 was already at 1399, but she thinks I will be ok for a couple of more days before ER. I have 8 on the RT with 4 starting to mature and 9 on the left with 3 starting to mature. I go in Sunday morning to check again and to see if I need to cut back on my Gonal-F (375) plus Ganirilex and 75 Menopur. Antibiotics start on Sunday also. Our clinc does a 5 day transfer and we hope to have 4 good ones as well. I'm so thrilled you got Pg on your own! Very inspiring! Are you going to find out the sex of the baby? I wish you a very easy and uneventful pregnancy!! Thank you again for your story!
