    Awaiting beta

    Hi Ladies,
Today I am 5dp5dt (~10dpo) and will have the beta on Friday (~14dpo). I normally would have taken an hpt by now, but I'm really trying not to get myself all crazy if it says BFN, which it probably would this early on. This is FET#1 after a failed IVF#1 in April/May.

I'm having some symptoms, pretty sore breasts (especially left) and lots of burping. I've had both of these symptoms pretty early on with previous pregnancies.

However, I just don't think I can trust my body this time. All of the other pgs were naturally conceived, this time I"m taking both estrogen and progesterone. So, I'm wondering if my "symptoms" might just be from the progesterone.

For those of you who have had ART cycles, would you be able to shed some light on early pg symptoms while taking hormone supplements? Thanks much.

    Wanted to wish you luck.

My two successful IUIs I couldn't tell the difference symptom-wise from BFNs. In fact with #2 (DD turns 3 months on Friday) I had multiple BFN on HPTs (including 16dpiui) so I stopped my progesterone and skipped the beta... AF never came.

I don't think you can go by symptoms, ART or not. You can't always trust the HPT either, especially for BFN.

    Best of luck,

    Hi Tia,
Congrats on your baby! That's great news. Also, thanks for your well wishes. The reason I asked about symptoms while taking hormone supplements is because I was able to tell without a dobut when I was pg natually. I always get the same symptoms; very sore breast, burping, extreme hunger, fatigue and heartburn all around the time that I've missed AF. Now that I'm taking lots of estrogen and progesterone, I don't trust my body because I know that the supplements can cause these symptoms (i.e. very sore boobs mostly and some burping). My beta is on Friday...guess I just have to wait it out.
