First off....CONGRATS wintergirl
![]() And to answer your question, BC......I'm doing really well, I think I go in for my first OB and u/s in FIVE days! *woooot* I pray everything is fine! I am still smearing brown on toilet paper but the OB doesn't seem concerned and there certainly isn't any cramping or anything associated with it, so hoping it indeed is "normal" although ANNOYING! ![]() Sore bb's and twinges of stuff in my belly and hungry fast, even after meals! and omg I forgot how tired you get! *LOL* So, yes, hopefully I'm doing just fine and the bean is growing wonderfully! THANK YOU for asking ![]() Sorry I haven't been back for a bit...I'm lazy! *LOL* I'll do better!!!! ~Dee Mommy to Ryanne, our sweet yet ornery daughter! ![]() Proudly 7w 1d pregnant!

hi ladies...I am 41, and am pg with my second. I just got my bfp. my first beta was 319 and my second was a whopping 1346. i am a little worried that there is more than one in there...sort of hoping for just one strong one. I just think multiples would be so hard...especially at my age.
I hope you ladies will be around to chat.

Hi Hopinagain and congrats on your BFP!!! Wow your #'s are REALLY high...!!! When do you go for your first u/s to find out if it's one or multiples?
I was hoping for twins this time, but since I'm having a singleton I'm going to try to get pregnant immediately after this one is born assuming everything goes alright. I'd really like at least 2. How old is your DH?? Mine felt weird about having one b/c MIL gave him some grief which really upset me. He is the BEST, most loving devoted dad in the world (he has a 15 yr old daughter with an ex wife) plus he has more energy than most people in their 20's. So glad you're on here!!! |

thanks Winter! I took another blood test today...and am waiting on numbers.
My U/S is next friday! that is so far away.....the wait will be so hard! My DH is 40...we are definitely "older parents" compared to many, but I think there are many positive aspects about being an older parent. How far are you? |

Actually I think there are a lot of advantages to being older parents, like I'm finally READY to devote my life unselfishly to a child when I never was before (didn't even decide I wanted kids till I was way over 30), plus we're planning on me being a stay at home mom which is what I really want. I didn't even meet my DH till 3 yrs ago, married 2 yrs ago, so anytime before that I would've had a child with the wrong person. My brother is 48 never married no kids, so this is the first grandkid my parents are getting, and my mom is SO excited!!! I'm 25 weeks today, so I think 2 weeks to go till my 3rd trimester. Everything has been great other than the nausea which won't totally go away, but other than that totally healthy. I didn't do amnio because my 1st tri blood screening came back so good (less than 1 in 2,200 chance of Downs vs. 1 in 200 chance of amnio causing a m/c) that my genetics counselor (Kaiser gave me one b/c of my age) said I had the same #'s as a 20 yr old. Just started in prenatal Yoga Mon & have been twice and it's AWESOME!! Quote:

m/c mentioned.....
Hi, gals.
Just wanted to let you know that we lost our baby. Went to the OB one day early, with red blood/clots and apparently there isn't anything in my uterus...they drew blood for a hcg and hoping they aren't high...if they are, they'll have to check for an ectopic. I got a Rhogam shot, also. Pretty upset/devestated....for sure. We might do some blood work and check for clotting issues, when I'm feeling more OK ...because the midwife is wondering why 2 m/c's in 3 months. It sucks Take care... ~Dee, Danny and Ryanne~ Oct. 92, June 08, Sept. 08
