no obvious symptoms at 7.5 weeks? is a singleton pg way different from twin

no obvious symptoms at 7.5 weeks? is a singleton pg way different from twin?

well i'm still waiting for something to make me feel that this is a keeper. my last u/s at 6w4d we saw a Hb but it was not able to be measured at that point. we saw it flash here and there, but it was not enough to make me feel really secure.

i have been pregnant previously 3 times, ( all twins or more) and i always had m/s start at 6w on the nose. i am now almost 7.5 and not really feeling it. here and there i feel a little queasy, mostly after eating. i am lightheaded getting up, but that might be from the lovenox i'm taking.

the thing that really has me guessing is that i am not really peeing alot as i remember peeing all the time early on- i might get up once to pee at night but thats it.

the good news ( knock on wood) is i have had no spotting, but frankly if there isnt a viable pregnancy i dont know how long it takes to have signs of m/c. my next u/s is sunday and i am trying both to be hopeful, and to prepare myself for bad news. i have so many losses behind me my mind is unable to comprehend anythign but the worst.

anyway, i guess what i'm wondering is , did you have less symptoms/ different with a singleton pg than a twin pg? i'm hoping the lack of symptoms is that this is the first time i've been pg with just one. thanks again for reading ! lynn

The cliche answer is that every pregnancy is different.

My experience is that with twins (I m/c at ~21 weeks) the symptoms were the same as with my now 5 year old daughter and with my current pregnancy (almost 21 weeks). I got hit hard and fast with the same symptoms for each pregnancy of these pregnancies.

Do not let your symptoms be your guide!

Have you had betas?
An Ultrasound?

These might be tests which may help you feel more comfortable with the pregnancy.

wishing you good vibes and lots of stickies -vicki

you didn't say if this was an IVF, or just medically assisted or a natural pg.... sometimes the early pg symptoms are left over from tx (IMHO).

My twin pg that was an IVF I had OHSS and it was different than the singleton IVF pgs and the natural was different a little too. My ms didn't kick in until about 9 week and was worse with the twins up to 12 weeks.. then it would stop. My girl pgs were more m/s and there were times with the natural pg that I would actually forget I was pg... for a few hours.....

Each is different... hang in there.

My pregnancy from IVF started as twins and I lost one so now I'm 36 weeks pregnant with a girl. I never really had symptoms, not in the beginning and I only feel uncomfortable now. I never got sick. I questioned my pregnancy until 16 weeks when I went to have an u/s. I now consider myself lucky but at that time I just wanted to be sick, or have to pee, or feel dizzy, or anything, just to convince myself I was pregnant. Hold out hope for your u/s.
