Some good some bad news

Hi all- Today I am 7w3d and all is going well. Wondering when the nausea will stop though. . I am currently enjoying a fat free vanilla chocolate pudding at 9:30am. I pack enough snacks to feed an army. This ravenous hunger thing is so wacky. Anywho, 2nd u/s is today and I'm very excited with a little bit of fear that someone will tell me there is nothing there...but it's a small bit of fear.

The bad news. We had to put our furbaby Kayo- an 11 year old Golden Retriever- to sleep on August 11, the day after my 1st u/s. This was the toughest decision DH and I have ever had to make. He was an awesome dog and I am so sad that he'll never know our baby. My sister said he might have been waiting for DH and I to get the good news about a baby and he was making room for him or her. THe funny thing is when we first got him as a puppy I thought I had decided that I never wanted to have children. He pooped in his kennel, dug a hole in our mattress, chewed up DH's comic book collection...but he was the sweetest dog and had such a gentle nature. Many others told us they grew to like dogs thanks to Kayo.

What a rollercoaster of emotions this journey has been. Glad I have a place to share this.

I'll give an update on my u/s today. Thanks for "listening".

Lorie

Lorie -
GL at your u/s today!! Sorry to hear about the nausea but at least you are able to eat something and a bunch of snacks is a good idea.

I am so sorry about the loss of Kayo. Making the decision to put our pets to sleep is definitely one of the hardest decisions. I know you're grieving right now and I'm sending healing vibes and hugs. Just think, Kayo helped you on your journey to motherhood! You've definitely learned patience and tolerance.

Hi everyone

I just wanted to congratulate you on your pregnancy, Lorie.

*hugs* for you ...we had to put our 13 year old dog, Larry, down on July 26th. It's sooooooooo hard. I'm sorry for your loss.

Take care, ladies!

Dee
