Many 1st timers out there? BFP mentioned

Hi, I feel like such a blabbermouth b/c I've posted my story on the: BFP after IF, High Tech and IVF and General pregnancy forums. Started TTC at 37 (now 39). Had 4 failed IUIs w/Clomid and last month a failed IVF. Decided we'd take the summer off and if we decided we could financially and emotionally go through an IVF again we'd do it in the fall. Last week, we went to ER. I had a UTI on the verge of a kidney infection. They did standard blood tests and the doc asked me if there was a chance I was preggers. DH and I explained the IVF and were like "umm, not too likely but you never know". So the beta came back at 11, 2 days later 74 prog. 26.9, 3 days later 274 prog. 29.6. This is my first BFP ever! . It worked naturally! Right now we're waiting for 1st prenatal u/s which is next friday and we're pretty nervous. I've been concerned that I don't have too many symptoms. I am pretty tired lately, and (*)(*) are sore at night when I take my bra off...but that's it. I have twinges in my belly but they dont' feel like AF cramps. I pee a lot but I also drink a lot of water. I want to crave pickles and ice cream and make crazy demands on DH in the middle of the night. I want to fall asleep at my computer and feel nauseous when I smell something I used to love to eat. I won't be happy till I'm running to the bathroom barely making it to throw up after having run over several co-workers along the way. Then I'll be tickled pink. . I wonder of all IV'ers long for the typical preg symptoms? So, any others in their late 30's with 1st time BFP?

Happy to be on board here!

TTC39, congratulations on your BFP and welcome to the board!!!! I think all of us IF gals are like that during those first early weeks. Trying to examine every twinge, or lack thereof. Symptoms come and go and vary with each person.

We get more traffic on the monthly thread on this board. Eleni was kind enough to start the Aug thread for us. On that board we have newly preggers, about to delivers (like me ), and we still get good advice from the recently delivered as well.

All the ladies are great and with such a wide range of experiences, can offer you great advice, a sounding board, or just an ear.... You should check it out. I am not computer savvy enough to post a link.

    Welcome and congrats again!
