how can life be so cruel?

I try every day to be a good person and do the right thing. I'm a good mother and wife. I strive to live an intentional life. How can it be that something so terrible can happen? What have I done to deserve this?

U/S today - no heartbeat - looks like the baby died 2 days after my last u/s. I'll have a d&c tomorrow. I'm so sad and numb.

I am so sorry to hear your news. I know how you feel--I experienced the same thing a few months ago. It is heartwrenching. It is unfair. I know there is nothing any of us can say to make you feel better. Cling tight to your loved ones...and take it day by day.

Jan - I have thought the same things you have. It is not anything you are being punished for. I know it feels like punishment, but it is not. The same thing happened to me last November. I was so sure everything was going to go right that time (also had a horrible first miscarriage in June of last year). It was devestating to go in for a routine u/s to find our baby had passed. WE love you and care for you sweetie. Hang in there.
