Updates for this week - 7/2 to 7/8
I had my second u/s yesterday (7w6d) and all was great. HB at 175 and all measurements dead on target. WooHoo!!! Got released to the OB. Won't see him until 11w6d. Long wait.
Gonna get a h/b monitor to help maintain sanity. Today I have passed my second ghost date and just hope to pass the third (11w). I cannot believe that all is going well. Less worrying about m/c now and more worrying about abnormalities in the pg. I am 40 but we can't handle the anxiety caused by the scanning, testing, bloodwork false positives and statistical manipulations. So we are going to tough it out until the second semester in-depth u/s and just hope for the best. My clothes don't fit! Wondering if I can start wearing maternity clothes just because my waist has increased! Anyone else with this problem? Tia, Milkyrn, Mama7, IB, Houndlover - the calendar said you had u/s this week, too. How did they go? How is everyone else doing? I have been on vacation and am very out of touch! AnnieB

AnnieB - Since I did IVF I was already buying my pants one and two sizes bigger. I HATE wearing tight waisted clothes. I still can't bring myself to wearing maternity clothes. I will stick with larger sizes until my belly pops out a bit.
My u/s went well. The OB still couldn't find the baby's h/b with the doppler. I'm 11w5d. Next week is my genetic testing. Looking forward to the 3D u/s but scared about the other stuff. I am so happy that you passed to big milestones already!

I was actually just on the phone with my dh telling him that I will need to switch over soon. Regular pants (even larger sizes) irritate my stomach.
Thanks for the good thoughts about my testing. I want my pictures!!

My u/s went wonderful also! I got to see the baby and it's heart beating. The baby measured good size and all looked well. I go back at 8.5 wks for another u/s. The RE is going to see me through until 10.5 which will be a great reasurrance. I too will opt out for any testing. I am 44 and had my last baby at 42. I also went for a size larger pants as my pants were tight at 5.5 wks. without any weight gain.
AnnieB and Houndlover-glad all is going well with you also and that your belly's are growing! mama7 |

Everyone sounds like they're doing well - congratulations! My belly has really popped out this time as well - but I'm not complaining (not really...). My next u/s is on the 17th - I'll get an official EDD then. Hopefully the baby's growth is on track, as it's been a little behind so far. I feel like I've been holding my breath since we found out I was pg!
Question for mama7 - how do you find time to type with 7 children?? You must be VERY organized ![]() Take care, Jan

Hello all...Sounds like some great reports. I started spotting again today but it has been very dark red almost brown and I am not going to let it bother me as he said this could happen again. Just taking it easy and trying to get organized this week with having our family vacation coming up end of next week. I do not have another dr appt until July 31. when I will be almost 16 weeks then. YEAH!!!!!!!!I am over 12 weeks looking forward to Tuesday when I start teh second trimester/
