h/b monitor questions

I am thinking about renting a heartbeat monitor to help keep me sane until I can feel movement. I'll probably have to rent from an on-line company because I live in the boonies.
Does anybody know how early you can hear the h/b with these things?
How about places to get them and the going rate?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks so much,
AnnieB

I bought a hi bebe doppler for $115 (ordered online). It's alot cheaper than the others. Generally you can pick up the h/b w/ them 10 weeks and after. I'm 10w3d and my uterus is tilted backwards so I'm having difficulty.

Good luck!

Annie - I got mine from Heartbeats at Home and it is the same doppler alot of doctors offices use. It costs me $51 a month but you can hook it up to your comuter and record your baby's heartbeat if you want to.

I have been hearing my baby's heartbeat since 9 weeks 6 days.

Hi All,
Thanks so much for the monitor information. It looks like I will hold off to get one until I get the okay to go to the OB. I'll do some research and find one on line based on your input.
Sleep tight gals, talk to you tomorrow!

I rented a baby beat w/ my last pg and just got one again for this pg! I LOVE it!! It totally keeps me sane!! I was able to hear the hb w/ my last pg at about 9.5 weeks - but I had to look really really hard for it. This time I didn't try until 10.5 weeks and was able to hear the hb right away.
