Never thought I'd be here!

Wow - 3 1/2 years of ttc #2 - Clomid, IUI's, 2 failed IVF's, one tube, endo, high fsh, poor responder, almost 39! Positive HPT today - conceived naturally! OMG! I just called to schedule a blood test and she gave me a EDD!!

Maybe I'll be sticking around for awhile

Jan

Jan,

Congratulations! That is so great! I have a similar story. It took me 4-1/2 years to conceive #1 via IVF. We started ttc#2 when ds was 1 year old. I got pg via FET but miscarried at 8 weeks. After several more failed IVFs, we took a break and went to two other clinics for a second and third opinion, only to find out a week later that I was pg, conceived naturally! I never thought this was possible!

Of course, I am now terrified about all of the things that can go wrong, and I'm debating about what types of testing to do since I am of advanced maternal age (what an awful phrase), but I'm trying to be happy as well.

Congrats again! What is your EDD?

Thanks, Guys (btw, there's something spooky going on with the weekly update thread),

LouHoo, My EDD is 2/6/07 - I can't believe it - DS will be 4 1/2! And my DSD's will be almost 15 and 12! Yikes! I know what you mean about the testing. I had an amnio with DS because I was 35, and now I'm scared to death, in that I'm almost 39. It was the longest weeks of my life, waiting for those results. I guess we just take it a day at a time, because as much as we try to think about what we would do in a certain situation, we won't know until (if) we are there. I am going to try and enjoy every millisecond of this

Take care, everyone, and we'll be speaking soon! Yipppeeee!!

BTW, beta came back pos. today as well -I'll go back Wed. They didn't tell me what it was, but I'll know in a couple of days.

Jan

That's great on the beta! I know we were in total shock when we got a positive HPT, and I called my OB the next morning begging for a beta. When he called with the results, he just said my numbers were great and that I was definitely pg, but he didn't tell me the number. When I went in for my first appointment, he told me that my beta was over 24,000! Woo hoo! I think I was around week 5 or 6 then. I've already had a u/s and saw the h/b, and I'm going in again Wednesday to make sure everything still looks OK.

When you go back, is it for another beta, or for an u/s?

Congrats again!

L.H.,
I'll go back for another beta on Wed. I'm only 4w6d today, so we just want to make sure they're doubling. I hope to see a h/b before we leave on holidays on the 23rd - that would be one less worry.

Good luck on Wed., I'm sure you will still be getting along well, seeing the h/b is a big hurdle to get out of the way.
Take care,
Jan

Hey Jan

Can I be your preggy buddy LOL. We're the same distance (4w6d), both ttc over 3 years, and both preggers naturally after how many failed cycles. We'd actually given up after 1 ruptured ectopic in over 3 years of trying. My DD just turned 6 !!!!

I have my first u/s on the 13th to just make sure it's not in the tube.

oh and hUGE COPNGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
