LOW BETAS with AGE
I am on my way again
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay all I have been on the evil pee stick roller coaster! Yesterday I took one pee stick test and it came back very very faint positive so that just wasnt good enough for me! So I went back to the old faithful pee stick that I used when I got my first positive the EPT Certainty and that came back NEGATIVE!!! I was so upset I cried for hours and rubbed my lower belly praying and crying and praying. Well I finally cried myself to sleep last night after discussing the next option with hubby while he is away in Hawaii. Anyways I got up to go to my #3 beta test and really didnt want to go because of the results that I got yesterday however I figured I would POAS again this morning and it was POSITIVE!!! I just dont know what to do anymore!! I am thinking chemical pregnancy because I think my HCG is dropping because of the Negative yesterday??? I'll keep you posted this afternoon with the results!! Does anyone know if age has to do with low beta results? Kris

I do not think beta are lower with age. Post an update this afternoon. Could your urine have been diluted?

No - betas shouldn't be lower with age - goodness knows they warn us about everything else but not that so far. But what about what Jen said? Diluted urine??? If you are just just pregnant then the preg test would have a hard time picking the HCG in the urine as the day went on. Try it first pee in the am?
Good luck - keep us updated. Barbara |
