Hi:

Congratulations first off! I haven't experienced this but apparently small hematomas are pretty common especially in early pregnancy. They usually clear up by the second trimester. If they are small -they say usually resolve on their own. They will probably just follow up closely to make sure it doesn't get any larger. From what I know the outcome from a small hematoma are usually good and nothing to worry about. But I know anything out of the norm is a worry. Good luck to you and again Congratulations!

I had one also but they labeled it subchoronic hematoma which I think is what your talking about. I bleed up to 10 weeks and then it resolved on its on finally... It is fairly common but can cause m/c in a small % of pg...Hang in there and just take it easy..

I have had one early that ended in a 5wk m/c and then I had a major subchorionic hematoma that caused a major bleeding episode at 17 weeks with my oldest dd. I just knew I had lost the pg after bleeding that much.. but she is a healthy active 5 year old who wants her ears peirced!
