I've been sick for the last few days.
I've had the shivers, fever, runny nose, headaches, ear aches, body aches, bad cough that's now in my chest. But no nausea. My ob put me on bedrest and liquids and anitbiotics. I'm due in less than 2 weeks. It sucks.

I hope you feel better soon.

It's in my house, that's for sure! Started with not knowing which end of the body to put on the toilet, and the chills, the sweats, the sore throat, the nose, the coughing...got this from a friend....GREAT...gave it to the entire house!

I really hope you feel better soon...LOTS of rest, if you can

We had the stomach thing right after Thanksgiving- it took 10 days to go through my house... The body aches were the worst I have ever had without being deathly ill. Rest when you can and expect it to take you several weeks until you have your strength back.

There is always something to worry about!

No-really- you maybe having some panic attacks... you may want to mention it to your OB next visit. You need your sleep.

Are you not into your 2nd trimester now? Your chance for M/c has decreased a lot. You have had a successful pg before- so that puts you in even a less of a chance for a problem with this one. Just b/c you are over 40 there are just a few things that could go wrong. The genetics of your new baby have already been decided... so worrying about that will not help. Are you debating an amnio? Is that bugging you?

Besides preterm labor- which you sould know what to look for- you've had a baby before - gest diabetes - which has a higher chance at over 35 -and high blood pressure- which you can check often.... ther is nothing really that is different in an over 40 pg. Sure there are some rare things that can happen during pg but just being over 40 doesn't automatically make you a better chance of experiencing them.

What week are you? I don't remember... at some point I would start to feel good and actually forget that I was pg with my last dd at age 39. Yes- the baby beat was a God send to me!

Try to relax and share some of your concerns with your OB- just saying them will help you feel better.

You are not losing it.... Post and let me know when your next appointment is- please.
HUGS,
JenC
