crazy

Don't you love the attitude's that people can get about a middle aged pregnant woman when it has nothing to do with them LOL!! I think that medicine makes us worry so much. My mom was 40 when she had me and I am just fine and my husband's mother was 45 and father was 47 when he was born and he is a physician and very bright. We were both very healthy and lucky to have parents that were mature enough to appreciate being parents. Best of luck to everyone!

You older mom's just rock.......I gave birth to my twins at 47......there is no substitute for life experience in pregnancy or parenting a child.

Congratulations one and all!

Please Please More Positive Info!!!

Hey, you older mom's!! I just found this website today!!! I'm 45 ttc. I need some more positive stories. Are you out there?

Love the stories I've heard. I could REALLY relate to the rude health care professional (If you want to call her that!). I got one with "her opinion" on having a child at my age. She was so rude. The old talk, "I just don't think it's fair to have a child at your age, when your blah blah blah, he/she will be blah blah blah...." She told me I'd have to "take" these prenatal vitamins and practically THREW them at me!! I couldn't believe it!

Anyway, good luck to all of us!

Sweetblues, Are you under the care of a RE? Are you looking into any tx? There are some other boards that you might enjoy too. Under infertility there is an over 40 bb. They are really supportive there during the ttc process! We hope to see you over here too!

thanks for the reply

I'll keep you posted!! I'm actually on www.babycentre.com Also, on preganancy over 40. I guess I'm a therapy junkie!! LOL. I love support systems.

I'm actually feeling quite nauseous and full. I Mayyyyyyyyyyyyyy think I'm ppprrreeeggg.... I never want to say the word!! I've said it before and have been so disappointed. Plse pray for me. I'm scared of down's, m/c, since I've had one in the past. At my age, my DP and I decided we won't go through it with down's. Sorry, if this offends anyone. Life can be too stressful as it is.

Wish me luck and I'll keep ya posted!!
Lots of luck and love,
Carolann
