Hello, ladies. I am new to this sight. I wish I would have had something like this with my other pregnancies. I am 35 (almost 36) and about 4 weeks pregnant. I have no idea how to do all those cute little symbols. (smilie face) I have 2 living children. One is 8 and the other is 6. I miscarried twice before having my boys. I am sooo nervous about this pregnancy!!
I went for blood work last week. I have seen posts about Betas. I don't know if my levels are ok or not.l They did a quanitative pg test and a progestrone test. My results were 1123 for the pg test and 15.3 on progestrone.
Do these look alright? When taken I was abou 3 weeks. I go again tomorrow for a blood draw...........
ANy information would be greatly appreciated. Hope you are all having a terrific week.

Hi everyone
I found out on Jan 6th that I am pregnant. As of today I am 9wks. I am scared out of my mind. I am 35, and for the past 7 yrs the Dr has told us IVF was the only way to go due to Kinked tubes. Tried IVF once and it failed.
I was feeling really tired and just sick and did preg test 3 x and all are +++. Because I didnt know when my last period was I had u/s on Jan 12th. The heartbeat was 171 beats per minute and they said everything looks good......Good luck to all and God bless!

Hi friends, I'm 35 and have we have been through 3 IVF cycles. 1st failed with severe hyperstimulatoin. 2nd delivered amazing healthy baby girl and 3rd ended last week with 10th week demise. Each cycle has been different but the loss of this child has completely broken my heart. Which has brought me here I think simply not wanting to talk to anyone else other than those who have been there.
Children in heaven? I lost count

Hello there. I thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. I'm Janet and turn 44 next week. I'm at 7w+4d with my first child...a total and utter surprise. I had fertility treatments and 3 tries via interuterine insemination about five years ago when I was single...to no avail. This baby happened with no intervention whatsoever, a shock since I believed myself to be infertile. (I've lost 70 pounds since my assisted attemps, which my GYN thinks may have made a significant difference.)
The biggest hurdle has been convincing my partner we should have the child--he's 53 and had never considered having children, did not want them. He really needed to come to terms with how profoundly his life will be altered--no small thing. We've had an intense three weeks since we found out I was pregnant and the decision was made only this weekend to continue the pregnancy. Now I get to be thrilled, finally.
We had the first ultrasound last week, which indicated proper size and development and a heartbeat of 163. I have my first appointment with my OB, who specializes in high risk pregnancies and perinatal issues on March 1. (In addition to my age, I have well-controlled Type II diabetes.) I plan on having CVS as soon as possible so that we can put some of our worrying to rest.
That's me--look forward to participating in the conversations.
Janet
