No- The only one I had was due to suspected infection and I was inthe hospital and the High risk OB specialist came over and did it.

OB did mine. I came out and asked him though, what is YOUR complication rate and how many do you do. He said he had one complication in 29 years and it was back when they used needles and I can't remember how many he did per year, but it really set my mind at ease.

I asked also. The books says you should get someone who does more than 50. My peri does 400-500 per year. That made me feel much better.

If I were to have one my ob would do it. I've chosen not to do it though.

If I had chosen to have an amnio the specialist would have done it.
