I am 14 weeks today....and I think the earliest they will do amnio is 15wks....I'm sure my dr will call me this week....or I see her on the 30th, so I know she will have to talk to me then! I agree about the test beeing expensive...I just got the bill it was aprox 800.00...thank god I only have to pay 10%...still 80.00 x2 is going to start adding up!! And the calendar year is up in Dec...so if I met my out of pocket deductable.....Who cares...when the baby is born...I have to start over ....AHHHH i hate ins companys!

For the nuchal, they do factor in your age. Tracy, I hope the amnio goes well if that is what you and doc decide to do. Did your nuchal scan also include the finger prick?

Mag...They didnt do a finger prick.....I am assuming since the scan came back "positive" we may skip the afp...and go to amnio...but maybe not.....It is easier to convince the ins comp it was needed if I fail all the test! Who knows...I am just trying to stay positive and not think about it too much until we get a better scan and test. I know the peri office have better u/s then the drs office does!
Take Care all of you!
