My first u/s results...

Hi ladies,

I also posted this on the April due date baord.

I just got back from my u/s. There really is a little bean in there! It is still really hard for me to believe. We did not see a hb yet, but he said that in a few days we should be able too...what he was looking for today was a nicely implanted gestational sac, which we have, a yolk sac, and a fetal pole. It measured between 5-6 weeks like it should. They are all there and he says it all looks great. I was a little concerned at first because I thought that we would see the hb today and did not, but he said that it is still really early and most of the time you do not see it for a few more days. I am still a little worried though.

I have my next u/s next week on Thurdsday, and I will have one more and if things still look great at 8 weeks I will be released to my OB so that I will not have to drive so far to the clinic any more. I am still a litlle nervous but it makes me relieved to know that there is one in there and that it looks healthy.

I am finally starting to get a little excited...this has just been such a long rough road for me that I will not breathe easy for a while!

Each day as I watch you struggle I am reminded to find joy in the little things, to stop and smell the flowers, and that some things are more important than material things. Your smile melts my heart, and takes the chronic pain away, if only for a fleeting moment. Thank you for the joy that you bring, my son.

Congratulations! And yes, it is way too soon to see the hb, so don't worry about it (yeah right). We all know how you feel. I'm 29 weeks now and I only just stopped worrying recently, about losing the pg that is, now I worry about other stuff.

Good luck and congratulations again.
