Jen C......for you....

Jen,
I checked into this board tonight to see if I could find an update on how your embryo-transfers went. Instead I read that you lost your step-son on Easter Sunday. I am SO very sorry and sorry this is quite belated. I'm sure it has been both relief and a time of grieving for your family. You and your sweet DH deserve such credit for the years of care and comfort you gave him. I hope your family is doing well and adjusting to this loss.

On a different note, I just wanted to thank you (belated again) for the thoughtful words you e-mailed me the week after Baby Sam was born. You reminded me how "tough" I was and how much I had gone thru to have these 3 precious miracle babies and you specifically sent me a scripture that I read and clung to.

The night your e-mail came, I had just gotten bad news from the NICU that Sam had a serious apnea/bradycardia episode and they had had to "bag" him to get him to start breathing again. I was SO distraught and Rich was out of town on top of everything else. They called me back in a few hours and said they had determined that he was anemic and needed a blood transfusion and that he should turn the corner and do much better. I went straight to my room to my knees and poured out my heart and tears to the Lord and the thought came to me to look up the scripture you had referenced: Philippians 4: 4-9. I looked it up and want you to know that it was THE answer to my prayers that night.

To me the message was to "focus on any thing of good report" and especially to "think on these things." I had spent so much time and emotional energy focusing on all the negative that it really opened my eyes to the fact that there was some hope for my tiny baby. I SO needed to hear those words at THAT very moment. I prayed and called the NICU all night long and in the morning Sam did turn the corner and I knew that that scripture had been God talking directly to me as if he was sitting in the same room with me.

Thank you for being so intune with your spiritual promptings. Sam recieved several blessings by priesthood holders of my faith and we had many family and friends who were praying and fasting for his safe outcome. I have NO doubt that his miraculous story is a direct result of so much faith. He has been home for a week now and is approaching 7.5 lbs..... my little 28-weeker...."

I pray that you and your family have found some peace and comfort. You certainly brought that to me in a time of great need. Thank you for being such a dedicated friend all these years at F.T. Your'e the BEST!!

Oh Deanne,
I am so glad Sam is doing so well.
I am also glad you found comfort from some of my life verses... they help me a great deal.

We miss Jordan. But he is whole and in a perfect body! We rejoice in that!

Can you believe you are a mother to THREE? What a long road we took.

Send an update and a new picture of Sam. Thank you for such a sweet post.
Love,
JenC
