Early c section

Hello Everyone, wanted to put out a question..... I am finally nearing the end of my pregnancy (35 weeks today)and was told by my doctor that new evidence suggests a prevoius myomectomy may weaken the uterine lining. .....and since we are about 50 mins away from the hospital he'd rather schedule a c-section to avoid a 2% chance of a uterine lining collapse....same advice that was given to my sister when she checked with her high risk pregnancy fellow physicians.

My concern is that he's scheduling it at 38weeks because he's leaving for vacation . My sister feels it would be better if we got another week. Due date 22 june......c-section scheduled for 8th june.

Anyone delivered their baby at 38wks? any contra indications?

Thanks,
almost there!

I'm barging in here.

I had my son at 38wks, induced due to Gestational Diabetes. They say that GD babies do need more time, but my boy was born 7lb4oz and apart from low sugar levels, which they expected, was perfect.

My DD was born at full term and was only 6lb8oz, so go figure LOL...

Good luck with it, they say 37wks is term these days, so I think everything will be just fine. Enjoy!

My twins were born at 38 weeks and they were very healthy. This pg I have a c section scheduled for 38 weeks and 3 days and I just WISH it were sooner. TRust me, you'll be so ready at 38 weeks you'll be glad!
