pain

hi everyone i have a question i hope someone can help me. i will first tell you about me. I have been tryign to get pregnant for a really really long time. I have had 7 misscarriages and not one birth. I happened to get pregnant but chance. I am 17 weeks pregnant now. I had one really bad scare on christmas eve where i started to bleed and went to the hospital and they did an ultrasound and blood work and said the baby was fine but i had several fibroids. Up till now everything is going great.

The other day i was getting pain in my right right (not cramps) they would come and go and i had them all night too.

My question is has anyone had fibroids? if you have are they painful or is the pain i am feeling just "growing pains".

I hope someone can answer this quesion for me because it is driving me crazy not knowing i will be going to the doctors soon

Thank you

First-Congrats on 17weeks!
I have not had fibroids but have heard they can be painful. I hope your OB is following you carefully with the fibroids.

As for the pain, it could be a nerve that is have pressure on it- from the baby, a fibroid, or tight muscle. The joint laxity that come with pg can also cause changes in the feet (the tendons and ligaments get lax, they stretch and the bone move- your feet get bigger) these changes can cause pain too. I would definately mention it to your OB when you go soon.

BTW- I had a major bleed at 17 wks and my oldest dd just turned 4... scared me but she's fine...

Check back in when you can.... I hope you get more responses.

I had bleeding at 5-6 weeks, then off and on then at 13 weeks a gush of bright red blood...went to ER. They did blood work, u/s and everything. Nothing they could find was wrong. I'm 17 weeks now and still doing ok

I also had pains, too. Have told dr's who seem to think it's the ligaments pulling. Apparently I'm saying "ow ow ow" in my sleep and stuff.

It's tough, I know. I was put on very limited activity for 2 weeks (which is almost over) to see if the bleeding/spotting will stop. SO far, it has. But they have no idea why the bleeding and pain.

Hope this is a little reassurance. It's not an answer, but I've been there, too

Amy

Reallylongtime,
I hope you get this- I tried to pm you.

I am so sorry for your loss of your precious son.

I re-read your earlier post - I thought I read you had pain in your feet at night--- I cannot believe your OB missed it.

I only had 4 contractions (didn't know what they were- it was my first pg) before I lost my twins at 22.5 wks... it was a trainwreck..... they would be seven this month....

It will be a tough time .... if you haven't already- check out the loss board under parenting..... unfortunately there are many women here at FT like us who have lost babies. These women have incredible strength and can give you comfort... they have been there for me.

HUGS,
JenC

Oh...gawd....I don't know what to say...

I am so sorry. You did everything right and your Dr. really fell down on this one. I can't believe IF. I hate IF.

Please be gentle with yourself. You did (honestly) do everything right. This was your Dr. doing it wrong.

Oh, hun. I'm so sorry.

I really don't have anything to add, there is nothing anyone can say or do for you right now, I just want you to know, my heart breaks for you....

If you ever want to talk, please feel free to vent, I know for me, sometimes it's just nice to have our feelings out.

Please take care of yourself, even though it seems such a waste of time right now, I pray this isn't the end of your ttc journey...We did it once, we can do it again, and this time maybe someone will listen.

xoxoxo
