pet vomit & carpet

I gave our newly adopted maltese a reddish type milk bone treat and he proceeded to vomit it in two areas of our (light grey) carpet. I haven't been able to get it out, and worse there is a whitish bleached type ring around the stains. We're going to be putting our house on the market in a few months and I am desperate to get this stain out. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Thanks!

Zep!
You buy it at Home Depot.
Zep is their Home Brand, so make sure you buy the white aerosol can. You just shake, spray and cover with paper towels (after sobbing up the gew). The next day, pick up towel and vacuum. It is like it didn't happen at all.

My old dog pees and vomits at times, and this stuff gets rid of all stains with no work involved.
