It's been over a decade since I visited these boards. Fertile Thoughts was the first infertility support place that I visited. It helped me feel that I was not alone and I learned a lot of valuable information. It was during that time that I started IVF Connections (recently under new ownership) and I devoted hours and hours to make a more specific home for IVFers.
We were finally successful with IVF at the end of 1999 and in 2000 we had a son. Although, we did try again, we were only able to have one child. After a while we decided we were happy and stopped trying. Being a mom has been just AWESOME. I think our time with infertility has made both my dh and I value the experience of parenthood a lot more than we would have if we had been able to get pregnant on our own.
These days I'm a SAHM and a Stampin' Up demonstrator. You can check out my papercrafting at Qbee's Quest. I was substitute teaching until our Sheltie was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. Now, I'm just trying to get her through to the end of her days in as happy a state as possible. We got our Sheltie Bella while we trying to get pregnant for the first time and she helped me overcome the sadness of repeated IVF failures. I owe her so much.
I wish everyone on these boards success in their treatments.
May you come out on the other side as happy as I am.
