Hi, everyone! Just a quick update. I had my scheduled C-section on September 25. Madeline Grace was 7 lb 1 oz, and 19 inches long (she seemed so big compared to my first, who was 5 lb 12 oz!) Everything went fine. They did say that my uterus was so thin at the site of the prior C-section that they could see through it to the amniotic fluid, so in retrospect it's a good thing I didn't try a VBAC. The reason I didn't do a VBAC, scarring from endometriosis, didn't turn out to be an issue after all, which is sort of ironic. The doctor said don't even think about TTC for at least a year, not that there's a huge risk of us accidentally getting pregnant. The C/S this time around seemed harder. I had a drain in for a couple of days, and a lot more discomfort than I remembered, although maybe I had blocked it out from the first. But we're both doing great now. Nursing is going well, though I am still somewhat engorged and hoping that settles down soon!
Congratulations to all the new moms, and good luck to those who will soon be adding some more babies to the group!
