Well, not ME, but my friend. She has it in her heart that she wants us to adopt her son, and we have it in our hearts that we would LOVE to adopt him. This actually only seriously came to light two days ago. I thought she had decided to keep him, but when I told her that DH did not want to do anymore IVF, that he wanted to adopt a baby, and that we would be starting that process, she got upset. She said "Why are you going to do that when I want you to have MY baby?".
So, please pray for all of us. The baby is scheduled to arrive via c/s August 10th. Not much time. She is already having BH heavily and nesting.
The easiest part of this right now is the decisions. The legal part is killing us. It is such a "market" for attorneys and agencies to make a buck off of those desperate to have a child.
Anyhow...please pray for us...
If we do get him, we are going to name him Toby Michael, what do you think? Toby means "God is Good" and Michael means "Who is Like God".
(After reading this I realized that it sounded BAD. I did have a baby...and I love him, but I hope you know what I meant!)

Parden the barge--but Eli Mae--your story broke my heart about brody and I think this story is wonderful. I wish you all the best with this. Sometimes we have to wonder what exactly God has in mind for us when things "work" like this.
Prayers to you

Heather that sounds like a great plan - keep us updated. I hate the attorney part of adoptions but they are a necessary evil. I will pray for you that this is the answer to your dreams

Yes, it is her. There is a L-O-N-G story I could insert here, but right now she feels like everythig is lining up too perfectly for it not to be "meant to be". I see it too, but as a mother, I also know how hard it will be for her to give him up. I keep reminding myself of the possibility that she may decide to raise him the best she can. She has 2 already, and lives in a small 3 bedroom apartment with another single mom, the four kids, 3 cats, and a dog. The electricity was off today due to non-payment. She KNOWS what kind of environment that is, and she does not want to bring a baby into it. But, she is also a mother, and we all know how strong that bond is.
