    Fever, chills, body aches

Anyone else experience this early on after delivery? I just had my staples out today and things looked great so I'm pretty sure it's not an infection. I called the OB and she said that it could be my milk coming in full force, that for some it can have these symptoms. I told them that my milk had been in for a few days but I'd wait it out and see. They suggested that I keep up with my motrin and try pumping a little more often to see if it helped to relieve it, if not, come in in the AM. I also asked if it was ok to BF/pump with this fever and they said it was...hope they are right! I really don't want a sick baby, obviously, but I also don't want a sick dh or other kids !!!

Sorry I didn't have that but then again I had other issues because of the NICU life.

I hope you feel better soon!

PS are you getting a flu shot soon? I was told today by the ped to get one for both of us (Max can't have one this season).

I don't know...I never get one so am leary of it now. But, after this past Feb when all of us got the flu, I'm kinda tempted. The ped suggested that the boys get one and maybe dh since he's a police officer but didn't say anything about me (maybe because I'm a SAHM???).

Now I'm worried - Addison's hands seem cool to me but when I kiss her forehead, it seems warm. I'm going to take her temp at the next diaper change (she's sleeping in my arms now & I don't want to wake her just yet...she's been so fussy & finally fell asleep).

It's so weird...this fever & achy thing keeps coming and going. I had it again yesterday/lastnight. I feel better today but now I have a horrible headache I can't figure out while I'm feeling so crummy. TMI WARNING: I had stopped bleeding about a wk after delivery but then started spotting pretty heavy about a wk after that. It's still coming & going. I'll have several days of HEAVY bleeding & then a day or two without it. Wonder if it's all related or what?? Thinking of calling the OB but not sure it's enough to really warrant a call...

dmbucky, I can't remember if you had a c-section or not but that's exactly what happened with me (minus the fever and chills, that could be a cold or the flu) but I stopped bleeding a week after the c-section and then all of a sudden it came back heavy and then tapered off and on for the next 4 weeks. I thought that it would never stop. It finally did just around week 6 and then about week 8 I had a normal period but it was so so heavy for the first couple of days. TMI: but I was afraid that I was going to bleed to death but it did finally slow down and then stop and I've had nothing since. Should have another normal period in another week or so.

I hope that you feel better soon.
