Who is getting nervous about delivery!?!!

I AM! it's kinda scary being home w/ 2 small kids knowing something could happen at any time! Things go faster the 3rd time around, so that makes me nervous. DD was born in an hour and a half from arriving at the hospital! I'm unsure if I want an epidural this time or not. Last time I did not have enough time to get the epidural and while it was painful I at least knew what to do! it was amazing my body just beared down w/ contractions and pushed her out. I didn't even really have to do the work, it was like a big BM that I wasn't even capable of stopping. With DS I had an epidural and I couldn't feel enough to push, so they almost used the foreceps. I'm so scared of the pain of those contractions, and I hate to be laying on my back in a hospital bed. I think they are so much easier to handle if you can walk around and change positions.

just wondering if anyone else has some worries they needed to vent!

Not nervous about the actual delivery, but more nervous about going into labor before it is scheduled. I'm on blood thinners that I have to get off of 2 days prior so I'm afraid of having bleeding problems.

I'm all for the epidural, but you need to have a good anesthesiologist and advoate for yourself. Mine was great, but if it is too strong just ask them to turn it down a little bit before pushing begins and you can feel just fine.

Mostly, I still don't know if I'm going to be having a c-sec or not. I'm kind of planning on it but hoping not to.

I am also nervous about going into labor before my scheduled c-section. Mostly because my parents are flying in from NJ and I REALLY want them to be here!! I don't know what I would do with DS #1 if I went into labor early since we do not know many people out here who would watch him.

I am a little worried because I will be having a spinal this time vs. an epidural last time.

And I am worried that I won't get my hospital tour in before the big day. I need to try and register for one of the two dates they do it in October. What's annoying is you can only register by mail - who does things only by regular mail nowadays!!

I think most of my nervousness is about whether or not I will definitely need a C-section. My last u/s to check my placenta previa is on 10/2, so at least I'll have a most definite plan after that. Either way, I'm totally nervous for however this baby comes out me! I just keep reminding myself that thousands of women do this every single day and I will be fine.

My last day of work before maternity leave starts is next Thursday, 10/1...definitely don't want to go into labor there, so I'll be very happy to be home after that date!

Not having ever done a natural birth at home before, I don't totally know what to expect other than I know it will be way different than any of my other previous three births. All I know is that I want to do the "Power Birth" method that my midwife uses (supposed to cut hours off of labor time), I have my kiddie "birth" pool here so I can get in a nice warm bath for pain relief (my tubs are too small otherwise I'd just go in the bathroom), plus not being strapped to a bed this time I have the freedom to let my natural instincts kick in so as to move around and get in whatever position feels good.

my SIL had 4 home births. One was in a birthing center or something? b/c they moved to a new state that didn't allow it?! anyways... She's had pretty good outcomes.. that's the only person I know who's done that before. I had her as my "dula" sp? at my birth in the hospital. She was a good person to have around for support!
