The birth clothes are because I need "something" to wear while I'm laboring here at home. Something comfy, not too short (I want my butt covered), not too long (must squat---or so I've heard---and don't want my knees hindered), something accessible by the midwife for dilation checks....etc etc. Plus I want some femininity!
Months ago I'd seen "birth skirts" online. http://www.birthinbinsi.com/index.htm However, I'm not paying that much for something I'll likely never ever use again. So, I found the perfect thing at a consignment shop that carries maternity and baby/kid stuff. Plus a couple of tank tops. I think it will work really well and be just what I need! The best part is I only spent $7.43 for everything!!
The "five week formula" is an herbal formula that I'll be taking my last 5 week of pregnancy (obviously!). The dosage is increased as my due date draws near. This is a preparatory thing for my female organs, especially my uterus that will be working so hard. What I understand is that its supposed to help shorten labor time and prevent hemmorage. We'll see if it works! :
