    49 Weeks Pregnant!

Saw my OB yesterday, how is it possible that I'm not in labor yet????? Last week I was 45 weeks. These are stubborn little ones. She wouldn't move up my scheduled date, but said I have the green light to stop taking it easy and do whatever I want now. Maybe that will send me into labor.

She said sex is one of the best things. Yeah right, have you seen the size of me???? DH just rolled his eyes, I think he's afraid of me. I told him to just close his eyes and imagine I'm Angie Harmon (his favorite celebrity), and don't touch me.

I'd like it to be next week, so starting Monday I'm off the couch! We'll see what happens.

Oh Lisa I really feel for you. I am complaining with a singleton (shame on me) I was so happy last week to find he flipped head down. Well, Weds they told me he flipped again (head up). I will have an inversion done next week if he doesn't turn. No wonder I don't feel like I have a bowling ball in between my hip bones. I think your little ones are nice and comfy. Hopefully you go into labor soon. Can you measure 50 or more weeks I can't imagine it. Stay comfortable and hopefully they will come soon........Colleen

Wow Lisa! That's unbelievable. You are doing an awesome job though.

    Warning, may be TMI!!
I did read an article that said semen had hormones in it that soften the cervix, so it's good to have intercourse. But, and here's the TMI, the article also said if the semen is ingested, it's even better because it is better absorbed through your stomach Of course, I didn't mention the article was written by a man

Good luck girl, hopefully those little ones will make their appearance very soon. Isn't it exciting, you'll be the first one of us to deliver!

Oh Lisa-- I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must be! I hope and pray it will be much sooner than later for you. I did laugh at your post though-- its just impossible to get in the mood to even think about sex when you're measuring 49 wks!!! I couldn't even think what position would be feasible at this point!

And Kelly-- that's even funnier!!! Wouldn't that just make you puke your guts out right now!!!! Men....

Oh Lisa--you poor thing!! I can't imagine you would even want him right now--how uncomfortable I would think sex would be right now!! BUT I have heard that it DOES promote labor!! Of course I'm sure your DH would think the ingesting part of Kelly's story might not be so bad --

Good luck too you and hope its soon for you!!

Kelly that's so funny. I told my DH about the article you read. He didn't have much to say, but since I'm getting m/s again at night, it would have to be morning job (pun intended).

Karen, and all you singleton pg's, you complain about your discomfort right along side of me, you have just as much right as I do. I know we're all suffering right now, for good reason of course, but suffering none the less. It's kind of fun to finally have pg symptoms to complain about.

Thanks Laenae. I go back on Thursday, but I'm so hoping that I don't make it that long. I went for a walk yesterday and out to lunch. I'm going to start being a little more active this week and hopefully that will work.
