Headed to Bangkok for IVF... anyone tried?

This is my very first post, ever, on any site.. so I'm a total newby!! I just had my big 4-0 birthday in March, and after 2 failed IUI's and 3 years of trying naturally to conceive, we are headed to Thailand where we are having our first IVF... the hospitals are great and the price is one third of the cost here in California. Seriously, I am just OVER the expenses that have racked up so far with this quest for a family (we are not insured).

Anyway, hello everyone... your posts have been so informative and comforting to know that I am not experiencing this frustration alone. I don't know why I never thought to join a forum before?!

Has anyone been overseas for IVF?? I'm not nervous, I've done my research, but I AM afraid to get too excited, even though I love mangos and sticky rice.

P.S. I don't understand all the abreviations yet!!

    Welcome to FT!

Go here to find out what the abbreviations stands for: http://www.fertilethoughts.com/index...d=35&Itemid=51

Here is the thread on international IVF: International IVF

There has been any new hits recently to the international IVF thread. Stop by and tell your story and I am sure others will come out to talk about their story.

I am a international IVFer but different country. Close to Thailand.

I heard that in Thailand they do PGD. The country that I did my IVF did not do PGD.

Good luck and sticky vibes. Keep in touch and let us know how things work out!
