I am in my early 50's and recently experienced the devastating loss of my youngest child. Am considering another pregnancy - can anyone offer me any advice/hope of using my own eggs? How viable and realistic is this, as I am no longer fertile. Is there anywhere in the world I could go for help, or is IVF with donor the only option? Any thoughts on this? I know some people will say this is selfish as I have already had children in the past, but the loss of a child is devastating.![]()

Hello Carrie Jones,
Welcome to Fertile Thoughts. I cannot say how sorry I am for you, the loss of a child is unimagineable, and I couldn't think of anyone who would think you selfish for wanting another child.
Here are a few links to boards here that might be of help and support to you.
http://www.fertilethoughts.com/forum...splay.php?f=14 This is our General Infertility board. This is a large board, and has the most women on at any given time.
http://www.fertilethoughts.com/forum...splay.php?f=31 This is our New To Infertility Board, I'm not sure if you are new to infertility, but if you are, this is a great place to start.
http://www.fertilethoughts.com/forum...play.php?f=137 This is our Over 40 Board.
http://www.fertilethoughts.com/forum...play.php?f=232 This is our Trying to Concieve After A Loss of a Child.
Again, I welcome you here, and I hope that your journey is short.
I'm sure you will find many friends here and answers!
