    K and I watched Sister Wives last night on TLC. It was kinda like seeing a car wreck . . . we just couldn't "not look"!

    The association and reflection on the LDS church. Maybe if they didn't live in UT and the media was careful to be more clear to distinguish their separation from the church.

    Well, they did move to Las Vegas--does that help?

    You know, I don't know about people's perception about whether they are "mainstream Mormons" or not. To me as an LDS Church member, it is screamingly obvious and they make it clear that they are not part of the main LDS Church. However, to someone who doesn't know much about Mormons, the differentiation they make may not be clear enough. I haven't had anyone mention it to me one way or another.

    *barge* Im not part of the LDS church but have many friends that are. And I love this show and honestly discuss it with those friends who are members! I dont think it shines a negative light on LDS, I think you can see they are not associated by any means. Maybe thats just b/c I am close to people in the Church and understand some of the faith...my friends of the church enjoy watching it too...its just too interesting not to!

    I'm not Mormon and I definitely don't see this as a negative reflection on the LDS Church. They are very quick to point out that they are not a part of the LDS Faith.
