I just found out today that my husband is going to delpoy in 5 weeks with a new unit that needed him. We are on the list for IUI at Balboa but he is going to be gone by the time we are called. SO my question is can we do frozen sperm at that MTF and who are they contracted too? Or do we use a civilian company that we find on our own? I am so flustered right now, he has only been home 7 months and now they are sending him again at the worst possible timing. Any advice is great. I am going to call balboa tomorrow and find out more info they are just so busy everytime I call.

I have no idea, i wish i knew the answer. DH is about to be leaving also, so we were tossing around that idea also. Just give them a call and leave a message to be called back. You'll get a call back soon. I always do. Also, i have had to keep calling back to back to get someone to answer.

well I found out they do have the service through fertility center of California Sperm Bank California | Sperm Donors, Donor Insemination, Cryopreservation at Fertility Center of California They Give you 6 months storage free and each vial is $100. You have to have the clinic fax over his blood work and file. They work pretty fast I called them today and we already have an appointment on Thursday. Which works great because my husband leaves from 29 palms friday and won't be back til 2 weeks before he deploys. Wish us luck that we can get this all done before he leaves!
