That's right, Bel I alread told myself tha tif this cycle works that I wouldn't do IVF. But after talking with DH I think I might go ahead and do one more cycle and take it from there.

I agree that we do have a lot to think about. I do feel it would be better for someone, even if it's not us, to get a baby out of the embryo's rather than them go to waste. In the past when the subject of abortion came up I have known many people to say they could never give their child up for adoption because of not knowing where their child was and who was raising it. That they would have an abortion. I never understood those people. How is that better, because you know where they are? That always severely bothered me. Now I feel there are circumstances where being pregnant for that long would cause to much trauma (physical, emotional, whatever) but I believe adoption is always better and if we just throw these embies away wouldn't that kinda make me a hypocrite? I think this might be kinda mumbly hopefully you get what I was trying to say.

I'm still waiting for my AF to show up!! I'm four days late and I'm just ready to start so I can schedule my IUI for next month. At work we schedule a month out, and my September schedule is due on the 15th. I have an appointment at Madigan next Monday, so I guess if I haven't started by then, perhaps I can get them to give me a script. I'm so ready to start up with the IUI's again!! I'm also going to have Dr. Chow refer me to Womack for IVF (hopefully next Spring), just in case these three IUI's don't work out.
I know that some of you ladies are or have done acupuncture. I'm wondering how many sessions I should do before/during my IUI cycle. I'm on a tight budget and my first visit last week cost me almost $120 for the session and herbs. Every visit after that is $70. With my other bills and GAS, its extremely difficult to go every week or even impossible to go twice a week. I want to get the most out of it, but I'm a little lost here!!! Any advice would be appreciated!!!!

Good morning ladies, I'm starting A&P and so I might not be on as much but I'm thinking about each of you.
Ailese, sorry to hear about ugly AF rearing her head and bringing it on. Some BCPs actually do the opposite and make you bloated and irritable, hang in there she won't be hanging around for long.
Lisa, with my acupuncture that I got my last two BFPs I only went 4 times before my FET. They would like to see yoou at least 3 months before to maximize but if not they will work with you diligently during what time you do give them. Maybe Ailese or Angie can put in a word to AF to send her sister your way.

I hear you about the tight budget thing. With me going to school instead of working, doing acupuncture is out of the question. I'm only doing IUIs, so....
I'm still waiting on Ms. Anderson to call me with a post op appt. I guess it really doesn't matter because AF will be here tomorrow and we're not doing a medicated cycle this month. BUT I was told not to DTD until my appt, so um I would kind of like an appt. relatively soon.

Lord, if it ain't one thing it's another....
So.. strangely enough Tricare was asked or contacted, I'm not sure which, about my 3 week stay at Bragg. The Approving officer approved my 2 trips in August for my orientation and baseline appt, but she wants for me to call the Tricare rep at Shaw AFB, SC and get the details on how she should be handeling the medical tdy request for the 3 week stay. The approving officer said that the Tricare rep stated that they don't pay for IVF. Well, as you ladies know, they aren't paying for the IVF, I am. But, it would have been nice to be able to stay in on base lodging, and of course the per diem and gas mileage is always such a +.
I don't really know where else to go from here... I called Dori, thinking that maybe she would have some advice on what to say to the Tricare rep tomorrow, but I'm sure that it's a lost cause. Especially after all of the research that I have done tonight, it looks like dh and I will be on our own for the 3 week stay.... really pissed off about that as we now have to seriously budget because for the past month I have been under the impression that this would be paid for.

08-07-2008, 04:47 AM #39I am so sorry! What a bummer.... maybe you can call the Fisher House and get in there since it is cheaper than a motel room ($10/night) I know that doesnt help with gas and doesnt get you the "extra" $$ from per diem, but every little bit that you can save at this point will be a help to you! *hugs* I am sorry!!

Wow, Ailese that is a bummer...I wish I could be of more assistance but never had to travel outside of San Diego fo IVF and thus never used TLF for that reason so hopefully one of the other gals can shed some light.
