Hi all. I'm new to the board. My name is Tally I'm 31 and my DH is 29. We are currently stationed at Ft. Hood. At this time I am a stay at home mom. I had a TL in 2002 during the c-section of my 2nd son. I am in the process of trying to get a TR. I have to call Monday to the infertility clinic to get my appt. set up. I have the referal.
Does anyone on here know any information on getting the TR done at Darnall?
Thanks

welcometo the boards we have other TTC gals from ft hood here also. Sorry I have no advice on the TR. You got a referrel for it or just to go to the other doctor? I was informed tri-care would not cover TR or the male version.

Tricare doesn't pay for any type of reversal, but the MTF (military treatment facility does). The MTF on out post Darnall just happens to do them. I got a referral from my PCM last Wed. to see the in-fertility doc. Here is a website with a list of all the mtf's and their requirements.
militaryreversals.tripod.com
Thanks

wow thanks for the site I had no clue. I know I'm always told to refer to the darn tricare website where it shows its not covered thats wierd they say its not covered but then they turn around and cover it just with stipulations.

I know it is so confusing. It is actually the MTF that covers it. Each MTF has different requirements. I went and got my annual pap a couple of weeks ago and I went last week to my PCM to get the referral to the infertility clinc. If they say it is a go then my DH has to give a sample and hopefully we will be on our way.
I called the infertility clinc and they told me that there are now 3 doc that do it here on post and eachone has their own set of stipulations. I just hope I meet them. I am really concearned about my weight becoming an issue, because I am NOT nor NEVER will be in my BMI. I guess I will find out soon enough if it is a go or not.
