Anyone else feeling like this?
I'm having trouble believing things are ok with this pregnancy. I don't have morning sickness and of course we're not far enough along to feel any movement yet... Now that I've been released to my regular OB, I won't have another u/s until 20 weeks! That seems like such a long time away! I don't have any reason to believe things aren't ok (no bleeding, cramping, etc...). It's just hard to wait and stay positive. We felt so blessed to have our son last year - how could we ever possibly be so blessed again?!?!?! Argh...

I feel the same way. I feel that any day now, there will be some disaster with this pregnancy. I keep thinking that the babies heart rate may have stopped, but since I am on all this progesterone, there is no bleeding yet. My OB doesnt do ultrasounds either. But, if your talking about the level 2 ultrasound at 20 weeks, you can do it at 16 weeks. I was told that you can do it from 16 to 22 weeks. So maybe you can get them to schedule you a bit earlier.

Thanks for the reply
I was beginning to think I was the only one falling off the deep end I actually just ordered a BabyBeat so that I can monitor his/her heartbeat at home. That got me through this "slow" time when I was pg with my ds. I hope everyone is having a great day!

OMG... that was me with DS...
I called the OB the day I got the BFP and was told I have to wait till I was 8-12 weeks pregnant! No betas... No u/s for age... NOTHING! I was in freak out mode. I made it to the 8 weeks appt and was told I had a UTI, well that ended up in a BAD kidney infection and I had major bleeding at 10 weeks and landed in the ER where I finally got to see that I was actually pregnant! After that.. only doppler checks once a month till my 20 week u/s! After that I got to see him a few times at the end due to issues and low fluid.. but man.. why do they do that to us??? This time around.. I had a m/c in June and had to cancel my appt the week before it came. As soon as I got my BFP this time I told them I need to be seen and I am sure freaking glad they saw me, since my progesterone was low! I got an early u/s to make sure that I was pregnant, since I was on progesterone and will not m/c if something is wrong. Then with the extra sack, I should be getting another peak to see if we are having twins or not. I wish they understood the stress of not knowing what is happening inside and how that stress is not good for us!! Just make us happy already!! Oh, I bought a doppler on E-bay and can not WAIT to be able to use it!

On E-bay I got one for 86 dollars!! And its MINE! I wish I had this with DS... then it would have totally been worth the money!
The way I look at it.. if you spend 25 dollars a month for 4 months.. you have already paid for what I got on e-bay!!

Kat - $86 is great! I paid $75 for three months for the Baby Beat and then I have to return it! I rented one with my ds and loved it. I listed for the heartbeat almost every day - even toward the end. I only rented it for three months this time because by then, I should be able to feel movement. (I say that now but I'm sure I'll end up keeping it longer than three months!)

YEAHHHH.... definitely feel like that! With my daughter, I rented a doppler for just one month. I had a NT scan at 11.5 weeks and I think rented a doppler from week 14 and on. I started to feel her move at 19 weeks. Even though, I was a little over a month, they did not charge me extra. They were super nice. This is my last baby, so I won't buy a doppler- it might be a good investment for someone who is planning on more, but I know it'll end up just laying around my house and then eventually taken to a Salvation Army store, so I'll go the rental route.

jdvandy - I think a mother's worry never ends. I was like that with DS and even more so now with this pregnancy. I am very anxious about my screening tests, and fear the worst since I am 40. I go in for my 1st trimester screening blood test this weekend, and then have the NT scan at the end of the month, and I just keep thinking I am going to get bad news. Even when I had my u/s and the nurse printed out the pictures and told me everything was fine, I worried that the embryo was not as clearly defined as DS was at that stage. DH had to remind me that with DS, I had the u/s done in the u/s dept where they have higher resolution machines and that's why DS's pictures were clearer. With DS I was also worried when I had to keep that kick-count card and I couldn't count enough kicks. But DS was just fine. I am so glad you started this thread because it helps me to know that I am not the only one worrying so much.
