Hi! I do not know how I missed your post about having a Guide Dog!

Where did you get them from?

I have raised 3 guide dog puppies from Guide Dogs for the Blind in CA. One actually graduated!!

My second, I still have as a pet.. she is alittle nutty and had not business being a guide dog!!

Yes, I have a wonderful faithful friend named Tickey. I got him from BC Guide Dog Services. I live in Canada. He is my second from the same school. My first dog retired 3.5 years ago, and she passed away in Feb. of this year - SOO hard. My buddy goes everywhere with me, and my dh loves him very much too. A man needs a dog.

That's awesome that you raise guide dog puppies. I have such respect for peopl ethat do that because it has to be so hard to give them up to formal training after they've become a part of you family.

I am so sorry for the loss of your first Guide. I know how hard that can be. The lady that took our puppy, she had lost her guide. Since I have lost the lady due to her health and had been incontact with her family and was able to see my "puppy"... she has since passed, but we just saw the family a few months ago.. Amazing that we know them all because of the pup!!

As for giving the pup up.. I cried and cried for days.. lol...
