Saw my ob on Friday. He didn't do very much. No internal. My fundal height is right on for 35 weeks and he estimated the baby at about 5lbs at this point. I am hoping that what I read about the baby gaining about a 1/2lb a week at this point are true because then he won't be too big!! I start my every week appointments now and they will be doing the GBS test this week. I didn't ask if they will do an internal then to check for dilation but I assume it will be either this week or next week.
We did a bunch of shopping with my in-laws on Saturday. They bought us our stroller, infant seat, extra base for second car, basinnet, miracle blanket, and a bunch of clothes (including his take home and Bris outfit which were really expensive!!) The only thing that I wanted to get that I didn't was my pack and play. I couldn't decide on the blue one or the green one. I think I am going to go with the green. My DH was really excited. It was the first time he really went shopping (as opposed to browsing) with me and he said it really made things real![]()
On Sunday we joined BJ's Club which we figure will come in handy for diapers and formula (if bfing does not work).
When I was walking around BJ's I was stopped in my tracks a bunch of times by these pains that felt like someone was stabbing my cervix. Anyone want to weigh in on that?
And now for a belly shot. This is from 34 weeks at a wedding we were attending.

Sounds like you got a lot done! Thats great!!!
You belly pic is cute! You are small like I was at 34 wks!
The sharp pains in the cervix I wa told by THE NASTY NURSE I had in L&D those are ligament pains......I was also told by others they are the baby pushing down preparing to engage......
Glad things are moving along now!
It will be weird to go to the doc every week! I still think I go every two weeks! Its great tho and something I look forward too!

You look great in that pic!!!
I have been having those twinges of pain the last couple of days. I haven't asked my doc what they are but I am guessing it's either due to the cervical change or baby's head being down there getting ready. That's so nice you did all of that shopping. How exciting!!! Yes. BJ's will come in handy!

Your belly looks great and like Shannon said -small. I like to think my belly is as small as yours but I am not sure it is. LOL. You look great, though!
I am glad that your IL's took you shopping and you got a lot of stuff that you need. That was very nice of them to do! I wish mine would do the same, but they pretend that we aren't pregnant. Anywho, I don't want to take over your post with my complaints regarding my IL's... I am glad that yours are generous, caring, and willing to help. They sound like very nice people. I am sure things do seem more real to your dh now that you have a lot of baby items. It will not be long now.
We have a BJ's in the next town over, but I am thinking it's not the same type of store you are talking about... What is the BJ's club?

Thanks Hilary! We have a BJ's in the next town over, but I believe it is more like Home Depot or Lowe's. I will check it out, though, just to be sure. I never thought about joining Sam's. Good idea!

I am finding it humerous that everyone is telling me how small I look
My mom keeps telling me how huge I look!!
I guess you would have to put things into context. I am a very tiny person at 4'10" and very slight of build. Here's a pre pg pic for camparison...Hilary (37) DH (40)
