Failed GD Test

I just failed my GD test. I have to go for the three hour test next Wednesday. The doctor said my blood sugar level was slightly elevated. The thought of drinking that orange drink again makes me gag.

I'm sorry! I hate that stuff and the blood draws too! I failed both tests with my last 2 pregnancies so I've been let off the hook of testing this go round. We're just assuming that I have GD and I met with dietician for my diet plan. I've always been able to control it with diet and haven't had to use insulin.

Hope you pass the 3 hour, but if you don't it shouldn't be to bad to deal with. I don't think many actually have to use insulin and your level was only slightly elevated. Good luck.

Kim - I failed it too, but can't get in to do the 3 hour test until 2/23. I didn't find the drink to be that offensive, but I'm going to be STARVING by 11:00 when it's over with!

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

popin in from the june board! I had to take it when I was 12 weeks...yes, you read that correctly...failed it so did the 3 hour test...passed, but barely...so they had me do the 3 hour again at 16 weeks...passed, but barely again, so I have to do the 3 hour again at 28 weeks...talk about AARRGH!!!! It's awful...I recommend you do it the earliest you can, that way you can get it over with and then go eat!!!!!

Good luck
