Food intake

Hey guys ..

So, curious about food intake at this age and does it change much. R has allways been a pretty good eater but the last month his intake has gone up a lot in one sitting ! He can eat more than me and I worry about his little stomach stretching ! His weight:height ratio has been creeping up and he's not a tall guy ....

Eg. Sunday b/fast he had - a glass of milk, piece of eggy bread, a yoghurt, a banana. He then wanted another banana to which I said no and he was OK with that.

Do they go through growth spurts at this age, thought that it was a little more consistent now ? Possibly the change in weather ?

Thanks
Teresa

Teresa,

It must be a growth spurt because Ryann is eating more also. A half hour after eating a meal, she'll say that she's hungry and sure enough -- she'll eat the snack she is given. She'll even wake up saying that she's hungry and she's never complained of that before?? Odd but good! The more she eats, the happier I am.

Shelby is about staying the same, but she's becoming a little picky. Like tonight I gave her something she has had a million times and she kept spitting it out...so here it is 8 and she didn't eat much dinner. I am not going to worry but that drives me crazy that she will eat it one day and not the other.

Hey everyone

I think it's a growth spurt then as he also asks for banana the second he wakes !! Swear that he could eat a whole bunch !!

I'll try not to obsess over it too much ... don't want to start a complex !!

Thanks

Hey girl- I love the pix you posted on another thread. What a handsome guy. I continue to send pix to you from time to time so I hope you get them? Would love to see more on your end since you were my "buddy" when we were preggo . I could've written your post exactly. T's intake has really increased lately and I don't know where he puts it. He def. has shot up in height over the summer, so I'm thinking growth spurt also.

Best of luck on your upcoming cycle and please keep us updated on your progress or tell me what board you are on and I will look for you to check in ya.

It amazes me some days how much Ben eats. He will eat all of his dinner and then want more! He points to the kitchen and says, "Oh, I want more." But he remains fairly picky.

We go through this also...somedays DS will not eat much at all...then some days it as though he has a hollow leg because he eats a ton.

Each day as I watch you struggle I am reminded to find joy in the little things, to stop and smell the flowers, and that some things are more important than material things. Your smile melts my heart, and takes the chronic pain away, if only for a fleeting moment. Thank you for the joy that you bring, my son.
