    well, my baby's sick...

I feel kinda bad....the last four nights (before last night) Ellie has been up crying every 25-30 mins all night. the first night it was just like moaning, then progressively got worse to the night before last she was screaming in pain. so I brought her in yesterday (she actually started running a temp yesterday am) and yup...ear infection.

Last night I had to sleep with her on my body sitting up...it's the only way she fell asleep at all...still woke up screaming every 30-45mins!!!! ugh. I feel so bad for her, but I AM SO TIRED. I know that is so selfish of me...but I need to sleep too, cuz then I have her and my boy all day...so when I'm tired and crabby...life kinda sucks for my 3 yr old!!!

    Ok, just venting really.

oh, and Ellie is dropping weight. I'm hoping that's cuz she was sick and not eating well...the doc also said this can happen when they start crawling. And if she is continuing to go down at her 9mo appt, then we have to chat about what to do.

Oh Molly, I know the guilt you must be feeling. The same thing happened to me with Daniel when he was 5 months old. I still remember the "horrible mom" feeling. It's so hard to tell at this age because it could be teething too - especially if they don't have a fever.

Hopefully she won't be sick for very long. Poor girl.

I love your avatar. My gosh, how big they both have gotten.

    Molly,

I miss you too. Feels like forever since I've been here. (And yesterday in some ways too.)

Daniel is doing great. He is getting more and more outgoing now. He's involved in alot of stuff right now plus school so he keeps us very busy. He absolutely loves being a big brother, and can't get enough of the babies.

The twins are doing great. I can't believe how big all of our babies are. I'm starting to 'panic' that they're going to be one soon. My time has flown by. Andrew is doing everything way before Megan does. Like months before. He's bootin it around the house and would much rather 'explore' than play with any toys. And he has no fear at all which means that I have to be all over him. Megan on the other hand, loves to sit and play. She only crawls when necessary and doesn't really like it much. I'm always yelling at Daniel to leave her alone and let her crawl. It's okay if she cries. Branden says she's a true princess. She wants to be carried from activity to activity. lol

I'm doing good. It seems like every stage in an adjustment. Just when you get used to the way things are they're into something new or doing something new and you have to figure that stage out too. lol Its busy but so much fun.

How are you? And Cai? and Ellie? What are they up to now? Is Cai enjoying being a big brother?

that's so funny...cuz comparing Cai to Ellie (even though they are years apart) Cai did things faster then ellie too. He was crawling weeks before her...and once he started, he just took off, going everywhere. Where Ellie can crawl, but like you said, only if she HAS to. She's much more content sitting in one spot playing.

And, yup, me too. feels like I'm tell Cai to leave her alone all day. He is trying to help...he wants to help her get to the next toy, or show her how to do it, but he gets right in her face and ends up blocking her from crawling or bumps her over. His newest is the second she cries, he tries to comfort her by picking her up!!!! Um, not good! he is trying to help...but it's the kind of help that is not help.

He does love her so much and is so thrilled about his job as big brother. he will sing to her when she is sad, it's cute.

It's so good to have you back! And i'm looking forward to those pics!!!!

I am so sorry she is sick!! The sleeping thing is REALLY hard when they have an ear infection. The good thing is that once Jared got on medication he slept better and better each night.

    Hope she feels better soon!!

    Molly:

I am so sorry your little one is sick! When our little Brenna was sick (she had a lot of GI problems) I would have to hold her so she could sleep. It was exhausting. Hang in there!

Thanks ladies...she is doing much better. Last night was still a bit rough...the medicine is giving her really bad gas...so she is in pain a lot due to her tummy...esp at night. It's so sad, cuz there is NOTHING I can do for her. she just writhes and screams and then forces out a toot, and settles back to bed. Then 45 mins or so later...same thing. I feel so bad.
