I took my wedding band off

I was so angry with DH. He completely takes me for granted and shows little to no appreciation for anything I do. He has become self-centered over the past few years, and unless it benefits him, he couldn't care less.

All I hear is sorry....I will do better. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

So I got angry enough with DH last night, that I took off my wedding band and handed it to him. Said, "I don't want to be married to you right now."

3 hrs later he wanted to talk. And once again...all I heard was sorry. And in less than 5 min after our talk, he was already back to not thinking about me at all.

ARGH!!!!!!!

Maybe write it all out and leave it for him to read and take the kids and go have fun somewhere one day this weekend. Put in there that you'd like him to read and reread it so he can really see how much you are hurting and what you need from him and he can take his time doing so because you won't be there waiting on a response. Plus, the quiet will hopefully remind him of how alone he'd be if things were to get worse.

I hope he really makes an effort.

You know, the symbolism for us is HUGE - it would get our attention. These guys - they have to be shown the door, it seems, before they take any of this seriously.
