Weekly thread 11/2-11/8

It is November and we are heading into our 5th and 6th months! Wow, time is flying.

Let's keep it simple this week...
How far along are you?
How are you feeling?
Next appointment?
What are you thankful for?

How far along are you?
20 weeks on Wednesday

How are you feeling?
Good. Heartburn is better with Tagament. I am starting to get aches and pains more and find it sometimes hard to get up out of a chair. A couple people told me I really look pregnant now. Apparently I have popped in the last week or so. I will take a 20w belly picture and post it tomorrow.
I did have an appt yesterday. Everything was great. They are not moving my due date and they won't because there is no chance they are wrong on the conception date. They babes are only measuring a week ahead which is consistent with a 6d transfer. My BP was great and I am measuring at 24 weeks which it is normal to be 3-4 weeks ahead of my actual week since it's twins. I have been cleared to travel for Thanksgiving. Also, the thyroid concern is a miscommunication. A low reading is very common for first trimester, so my OB is not sure why her nurse faxed over my paperwork to the internist. She did take a blood sample one more time to just be sure. Other than that all is well in babyland.

Next appointment?
Nov. 23rd with Peri
Nov. 30 with OB

What are you thankful for?
I am thankful...
that I am pregnant with twins and will be able to complete my dream of having three children.
that one of the twins is a boy!
that my husband's job allows me to stay home and take care of my home and family.
for my friends who act like family to me most of the time.
my green thumb and other creative gifts!
my pets even though they annoy me.
some cooler weather during the last part of my pregnancy.
technology which has made it easier to keep in touch with friends and family far and near.
God and His forever love.

How are you feeling? Feeling well except for some excruciating back pain; mostly when I'm laying down to sleep and well, all day at work. Have what feels like the biggest kink in my lower left back and nothing I try seems to relieve it
Next appointment? 11/9 for a cervix check w/ perinatal doc.
What are you thankful for? DH, my babies, and family.

How are you feeling?I feel better this week than last. Although, my hormones are going through the roof!! I cry at the drop of a hat and am sooo b*tchy no one wants to be around me. I cant stand anyone or anything! OPPS, not a good thing. Pain wise, still pain in my legs (inner thigh), back is doing OK, just OK. BP is on the higher side of normal, but my OB seems to think its fine, i am worried though- I still feel pretty good though.
Next appointment? Friday the 13th!!
What are you thankful for? Im thankful for my husband. He is always my rock, my annoying frustrating rock. But he is mine and I love him and am great full he choose me. I am grateful for my mom who is my best friend and my support system- although she bugs me too. I am super grateful for my baby. My life long dream of being a mommy is about to come true and still I feel as though its all make believe and some one will take my baby away from me. I am also grateful for my doggy- bear. Strange, i know, but he is my first baby and the light in my eyes and my smile in the mornings. First thing I kiss in the morning and last thing I kiss i night- he is my bear bear.

***acid reflux ladies- This might sound horrible and strange, but I swear to you it works. Take like 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar (should be Braggs, from like the normal grocery store), and mix it with a shot glass of water and down it!! It will make your face pucker, but the acidity will actually neutralize the acid you have and totally helps. I have MAJOR reflux, all my life- Been doing this for many many years and its worth it!! Even safe during pregnancy. The vinegar is even safe if you put some in your babies water bottle to help with the throwing up, dont knock it till you try it ***

How far along are you? 19 weeks today!
How are you feeling? Feeling great most of the time! I'm dealing with some acid reflux on and off, some lower back pain if I stand for too long and some trouble sleeping at night with the frequent bathroom trips and crazy dreams. Also, I have had a few crying spells in the last week that were really for no reason at all. But all in all, doing great!
Next appointment? OB appt on 11/9, Peri appt on 12/11
What are you thankful for? I'm thankful for God's presence in my life, my awesome DH (the love of my life), being pregnant with no complications after so many years of trying, have twins and even better boy/girl twins!, my supportive family, and the ability to lay my head down on my pillow at night with no fear.
